Senior Adults

"TRUST in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: In all
your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5,6.
SENIOR ADULTS are vital to the ministry of the church. Just because a person reaches retirement age doesn't mean
they have lost their usefulness to the Lord. Many SENIOR ADULTS have the spirit of Moses and Caleb when they
reached their senior years. Caleb speaking to Joshua when he was 85 years of age said; " Now therefore, give me
this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day."
Joshua 14:12. Their expertise is vital to the life and health of a church.
Biblically, senior adults are to become mentors of younger christians. Titus 2:2 - 6 "The older men be sober,
reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience: The older women likewise, exhort the young men to be
sober-minded." We want to give senior adults every opportunity to fulfill this role.
We have a TAPE MINISTRY for the homebound, also for those in nursing homes. An audiotape of one of the services is
mailed or delivered by ten of our faithful seniors
We have a very active group called GUIDED GADABOUTS. We meet on the second Thursday of each
month at 10:00 a.m.. we have a guest speaker or a group come and present a program. It is a time of inspiration,
fellowship and fun followed by a pot luck meal furnished by the members. We take trips on our church bus. They are
usually one day trips. These meetings and trips are open to all senior adults regardless to church affiliation.
We thank God for a group of loyal and caring senior
adults.
